Get Rich With Me (GRWM) - Affiliate Marketing Week 2

GRWM affiliate marketing week 2

This page contains affiliate links meaning I earn a commission if you use those links. I only recommend brands I use and trust.

Hey Guys,

I am officially inviting you guys to GRWM! Get Rich With Me!

Im on a never ending quest to be RICH! So, Im going to throw some of my efforts into Affiliate Marketing.

So lets see what I did in week 1:
1) Signed up with two affiliate networks
2) Tried and failed ads
3) Watched youtube videos to get inspired
4) Tried a new source of ads - Bidvertiser

Ok, So what were the results of my week 1 efforts? I found out that Bidvertiser is a total bust! I spent $50 with them. I had to contact them to get my free $20 (should have been automatically applied, but whatevs) As you can see, I got lots of clicks:

But then I noticed that I wasn't having ANY CONVERSIONS, despite the amount of clicks.  Some of my affiliate offers were not even requiring a purchase. They only required an email address for the conversion to count. So, I realized something fishy is going on here.  So I was running some traffic to my affiliate offers, but I was also running traffic to one of my products. So I said let me look at the Google Analytics to see whats up.

So, apparently all the traffic I received was from secure.calcch.com   I tried going to that site. Nothing.  I tried going to calcch.com....nothing.  So, how are so many people able to see this ad on this site and click on it? When I can't even get into the site? Something is definitely fishy.

So out of $70 in ad spend with bidvertisers, I had 186,388 impressions, 446 clicks, 0 conversions, $0 in sales.

I felt defeated. So I reached out to someone I know who does affiliate marketing and he said he never heard of them. I reached out to Luke at Peerfly, and he said he did not recommend using them.  So, bidvertiser was a bum source of traffic.... for me.

Luke did refer me to his article for traffic sources.  So, after reading his entire article and comments, I decided that I would research the 4 sources he listed.  As money is tight right now, I decided to go with Bing Ads. I am familiar with them because I've used them in the past. I just didn't think to consider them now, because of my experience with Google Adwords I thought they would block affiliate links too.  But they don't!  So I ran a few ads with them, the traffic was ok. Still no conversions, but I only started off spending like $5.  So I need to go in and revamp some ads and add more budget to them.  My only downfall about Bing, is that they don't allow display banner ads. So they want you to make up text ads.  I wish I could do banner ads with them, that would be great.

I would also like to try out two others of his recommendations... Tonic but they have a minimum deposit of $100 and Content.Ad but they have a $250 minimum deposit.  So, I can't start this venture off completely bleeding, so I will have to wait until I make a profit to reinvest.

So what else did I do this week? (I'll write separate blogs about it for those not interested).  I dabbled some more with Pinterest, I am revamping this blog (still under construction as of 11.5.17) and I signed up for shopstyle collective along with joining a couple of FB groups regarding Pinterest / affiliate marketing.

So, what are my goals for next week:
1) Restart Bing ads with some new affiliate offers
2) Meet with my Affiliate friend to pick his brain. He's doing massive numbers (ok massive to me at this point) October 2017 he made $19,654.25 and spent less than $500 to get that!  He said he's really good at getting organic traffic. So I will see what he recommends to me.
3) write 1-2 blogs this week and finish blog revamp
4) really focus on Pinterest

This is officially November, people are in the buying mood. I just have to get the right offers in front of them!

lets get it!
