The Magic - by Rhonda Byrne - day 12

Day 12 - Magical People Who Made a Difference

With our Day 12 lesson of The Magic we were to think of 3 people who made a difference in our life.  You were to think about what it is specifically that they did to make a difference in your life and then imagine yourself having a conversation with them to tell them how grateful you are for their influence.

So for my 3 people, I chose my grandma (RIP), my mom and my dad

Grandma:
Hi Grandma, I just wanted to thank you for your influence of having an open house on me.  I always saw that you were so welcoming (to everyone....literally) into your house.  Everyone in the neighborhood knew that if they were hungry, that you would feed them...and without hesitation.  And the food was delicious as well!  So today, I thank you for instilling that in me.  I love to cook and feed people.  I always say that you  will always remember the joyous occasions, and also what you were eating during those occasions. You instilled this in my oldest sister as well...Thank you Grandma! I bet your probably trying to feed the angels in heaven :)

My Mamacita:
Mom, I thank you for always pushing me to be a better person.  Thank you for letting me know that I didnt have to be mediocre and that I could be anything that I wanted.  Thank you for challenging me to get better grades and a better education.  I remember when I graduated from college I told you that this wouldnt be my last degree, and I meant it.  With your encouragement and love, I went on to get a law degree and become a licensed attorney in 2 states.  Thank you mamacita!

My Papichulo:
Dad, I thank you for being around. So many children grow up without fathers, but you ensured that you were always present in my life.  From listening to me complain about mom's rules, to us doing yard work together, to us just having a good old fashioned talk about any and everything under the sky.  Thank you for raising me up in the church and with Godly principles.  Thank you dad!

Heres what i'm grateful for today:

1) The internet - the cable company was working on it all day today and I work from home, so that made it hard.  I am thankful that the internet is back up and running.
2) I am thankful that Starbucks has free internet.
3) I am thankful for the awesome tempura recipe that I found.  (I think im gonna do a blog post about that later)
4) I am thankful that a client signed up today.
5) I am thankful that I was able to send off the passport application to my mother in law so she can travel abroad.
6) I am thankful that my sister got a massage coupon from her employer.  We were talking last week about her job has been stressful lately.  I told her to be grateful that she has a job....and then this happens... magic!
7) I am thankful that I found odesk so that I can hire some SEO freelancers to work on my websites to get me top rankings on google for my targeted keywords.
8)  I am thankful for the feeling of "I finally know what I need to do" to be successful.
9) I am thankful for computers because my handwriting is not that great.
10) I am thankful that you can stack manufacturers coupons, Target coupons, text message coupons, and cartwheel offers at Target.  (its a couponing thing, lol)

So.... i'm dying to hear.... what are you thankful for today?

The Magic -by Rhonda Byrne - Day 11

Hey Guys,

Today is Day 11 of The Magic, can you believe it?

                                                              Day 11 - A Magic Morning

A Magic Morning is one where as soon as you open your eyes you give thanks for being alive.  As you sit each leg on the floor, you give thanks for the activity of all your limbs.  A magic morning is where you feel gratitude for every piece of your morning routine.  Thank you for a hot shower, thank you for fresh coffee, thank you for a clean mirror, thank you for products to keep your breath smelling good, thank you for clothes that you didnt have to sew yourself etc.

Normally, when I wake up in the morning, I immediately say a prayer to GOD for waking me up.  Its our little conversation time.  and then I go about my day.  Today was refreshing, because I forced myself to be conscious of every thing that I used and gave thanks for it.

Can I be honest with you guys?  I'll be glad when I can automatically do each of these day lessons everyday without having to put so much effort into it. I want my gratitude to just flow so easily.  Right now, I kinda feel like im trying to remember what each day's practice was and continue to practice it.   But then I end up focusing on a few days more intensely then some of the other days lessons.... idk.  I guess as I continue to go through each of these lessons, they will become like second nature to me and i will do them without having to be conscious of the fact that i'm doing them.... did this paragraph make sense to you guys?

Anyways, I enjoyed focusing on all of the little trees of my day that make my forest so magical and enchanted.

Here's what I am grateful for today:

1) Today is mother's day and my mother is still living.... thank you, thank you, thank you
2) That lots of loved ones told me happy mothers day and that they are praying for my fertility.  (it feels good to know that others see the desires of your heart and pray that you get them)
3) For my genuine belief that I will be able to celebrate my first mother's day in 2015.
4) That I was able to put together my dads website so he can begin advertising.
5) My teeth are straightening out due to invisalign and my awesome Encino dentist
6) For our dinner because it was delicious.
7) This month marks 7 years since I graduated from law school.
8) Thankful that my husband plays for 2 churches
9) Thankful that I was able to plan out tentative detains for our anniversary trip.
10) Thankful for my health - because the gift of health is keeping me alive.

The Magic - by Rhonda Byrne - Day 10

The Magic by Rhonda Byrne - day 10

Hey Everyone!

The Magic - Day 10 - Magic Dust Everyone

Spread some magic dust love to everyone.  So today, i'm sprinkling some Magic Dust on YOU! yes you! I am so grateful that you have taken the time out of your day to visit my lil apartment on the world wide web aka my blog and see what I have to say.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Today we are to think of 10 people who help us or enrich our lives in someway and sprinkle them with magic dust by simply saying the words "Thank You".  Sometimes, thats all people need to hear...are the words Thank You.  Just like the day 8 lesson, (gratitude for food), I tend to have this one pretty down packed too.  Growing up with southern parents and my father being in the military, I was taught at an early age to say Thank You when someone gives you something or does something for you, so I kind of do it automatically.  One thing that Rhonda Byrne pointed out in this lesson though, was to make eye contact when you are saying Thank You.  This is one area I needed improvement in.  Today is actually day 12 for me, but since I missed a few days of blogging (I did the lessons each day on schedule though), I have actually been working on using eye contact when I say thank you.  I want the person to know, that im not just throwing a pre-calculated thank you their way.  I want them to feel like I am sprinkling magic dust on them, and when I use eye contact, I feel like they can feel the flurries, lol. Today, a young couple let me cut them in line at Wal-mart because I only had 2 items.  I told her Thank You when I was getting in front of her and also ensured that she was able to see the gratitude in my eyes when I told her Thank You again as I was done checking out.  I made it rain on her! :)

Here are the 10 things im grateful for today:

1) Finally finishing my office bathroom project ....ok its 90% complete to my satisfaction...but im so happy with it.
2) Thankful that my husband helps with household chores.
3) Thankful for clean sheets on my bed.
4) Grateful for being able to order Kangen Water business cards for me and my dad.
5) Thankful I was able to get my dads kangen water domain name for .99
6) Thankful that I have been doing The Magic practices everyday so far without missing a day.
7) I am thankful that I live in a safe neighborhood.
8) I am thankful for the bank teller Maggie who helped me with my transactions today with a smile.
9) I am thankful that I got to pay my April Mortgage today!
10) I am grateful that "party girl" had a great demo day today.

How about you? what are you thankful for today? dont be shy!

xoxoxoxo,

The Magic - by Rhonda Byrne - day 9

The Magic - By Rhonda Byrne - day 9

Rhonda Byrne instructs us on day 9 of The Magic to be a money magnet.

A lot of the times when we receive bills we tend to gripe and think bad thoughts about them. We have negative thoughts and feelings about the money that we have to use in order to pay these bills.  In essence ,what we are doing is attracting more bills.  If we were to be grateful for the bill, then we would be using gratitude instead of complaints which in turn would attract us more happiness, money and good feelings.

Our special practice for Day 9 was to find our bills and write on the unpaid ones "thank you for the money".  For the ones that we had already paid, we were to write on them "Thank you - paid"

Lets just say I had to write a lot of "thank you for the money" lol.  I shred my old bills, so I couldnt write thank you paid on any of them except my mortgage that I paid today.

Also, any time that I caught myself starting to think about a bill or something that I wanted or needed I stopped myself mid thought and said either "thank you for the money" or "GOD will provide"

Then of course we had our usual 10 things to be grateful for.

Here's what Im grateful for today:

1) I am grateful for finding a new styling product staple that will make my natural hair regiment a lil bit easier.
2) I am grateful that I made it to court on time and had no problems with my client's case.
3) I am grateful that when I got to my office i had a client their waiting to pay me in full.
4) I am grateful that I have enough money to pay my April mortgage now.
5) I am grateful that "party girl" was able to get her car wrapped and some promotional items for her business.
6) I am grateful that I was able to take a nap today.
7) I am grateful that I was able to share a funny video with my sister and make her laugh when she was having a rough day today.
8) I am grateful one of my favorite wines was on sale today.
9) I am grateful that GOD is blessing my businesses.
10) I am grateful that GOD is blessing my marriage.

What are you thankful for today?  Are you reading The Magic? Have you considered buying The Magic? share your thoughts with me.

The Magic - By Rhonda Byrne - day 8

The Magic - By Rhonda Byrne - Day 8

Hey Guys,

I see that i've got some loyal followers checking me out each day on my blog, thank you so much.  You can feel free to become a subscriber over there  ------------------------------------------------------------>

I just realized that with today being day 8, I have officially completed my first week of The Magic.  I believe that it has been a magical week.  For one, i've had more blog views this week than ive had in any other week since I started the blog in 2010.  Thank you guys so much! I send lots of love and light your way!

Now, lets get down to business.  For day 8, we were supposed to focus our gratitude on our food and drink.  Everytime we ate a meal or snack, had anything to drink we are supposed to give thanks for it.  I normally say a prayer of gratitude over my meals, so today, was a normal day for me.

But, after reading the passage for day 8, it really had me thinking.  You dont really think about just HOW MUCH goes into us being able to get food on our plate.  This pic courtesy of cdc.com paints a clearer picture for us:

http://www.cdc.gov/foodsafety/images/food_production_chain_900px.jpg

Like, we see truck drivers every day, but you never think....thats gonna end up on my plate. lol.  Now  I will be more mindful.  Next time I see a truck carrying a  bunch of cows, I wont be like "ewwww that stinks", i'll be like "thank you, for this will end up on my plate somehow" lol.... I know, im silly at times.

We were to complete our usual task of 10 gratitude items, here's mine.

1) I hadn't exercised during the past two weeks, but im grateful I havent lost the strength that I recently gained.
2) I am grateful that a client paid virtually today.
3) I am grateful that i got to do a little bit of work on all my businesses today (yup, adhd style)
4) I am grateful that our beach blanket arrived today so that I can stop using my sheets when we go to the beach.
5) I am thankful for the great weather today.
6) I am grateful that Kangen Water exists to help so many people's health ailments.
7) I am thankful for having an open-mind and open heart to receive what others are saying and/or feeling.
8) I am grateful for all the people who are in the food industry and ensure that I get fresh and nutritious food when I want it.
9) I am thankful for the new calls that I received today.
10) I am thankful that I can communicate with my loved ones who are 3000 miles away.

what are you grateful for today?

The Magic - by Rhonda Byrne - day 6

For day 6 of The Magic by Rhonda Byrne we are to focus our gratitude on our jobs.  This one is a big one for me.  Although I am an attorney, my income has not been at the level upon where I wanted it to be. (or people would guess it was as a self-employed attorney, lol).  So i'm guessing that my income has been in proportion to my gratitude.  If you would have asked me last month, am I grateful for my job.  I would have told you that I love my career and being self-employed.  But then shortly after that, I probably would have went into my usual spill of how I wish my volume was higher, income was higher, clients didnt no-show etc....

Since I have started The Magic (I know its only been 6 days), i've been really conscious of my words and thoughts.  I was actually kind of proud of myself yesterday.  I had a client call me at 5:02 p.m. and ask could he meet with me.  So I told him I would meet with him at 6:00.  I was working from home yesterday, so I agreed to meet him at our local Starbucks.  So I got dressed and arrived at Starbucks maybe 10 minutes before him.  He then came in and asked me about my prices again (we already discussed them on the phone) and said that he had talked to an attorney 30 minutes ago and they told him they could do it with no money up front.  Since I've been listening to Shanel Cooper Sykes as well and the lesson I heard yesterday from her was about knowing your value, there was no way that I was going to agree to do a full bankruptcy petition for him without ANY MONEY.  I value my services too much for that.  So I handed him my business card, advised him to check out the business on yelp, google and the state bar and we parted ways.  I ran some errands and then when I came home my husband asked me how did my meeting go.  I told him that it was the fastest meeting I ever had.  He said was that a good thing or a bad thing.  I told him that I didnt end up wasting any time and he said he was sorry for what happened.  I told him dont be sorry, GOD will give me 10 more clients to replace him.

Ordinarily, that conversation would have went a little like this.  He knew what my prices were, if he wasnt sure that he wanted to sign up with me, then he should not have wasted my time and gas money, and it would have put me in a bad mood for the rest of the evening.

But because I have been monitoring my thoughts and actions, that was the thing that I rubbed my gratitude rock for at bedtime and said was the best part of my day. I was grateful that I had a client that spoke with me on the phone. He complemented me by saying I was actually a counselor and not just trying to push his call to the side.  I was grateful that this client wanted to meet with me immediately after talking with me on the phone.  Thats why I was grateful.  Because I am grateful for those things, I know that in the future, I will have clients that will call and talk to me on the phone, be grateful for the things that I told them and be ready to meet with me and retain my office immediately.  They will be so happy with their experience, that they will refer their friends and family members to me.

So I said all of that to say, that now, when you ask me if I am happy with my job, I will say yes, and go into a soliloquy of the things that I am grateful for and will not even allow a complaint to have the chance to rear its ugly  head.

My business will grow.  I will no longer struggle.  I will be financially secure.  This I know and have faith that it will happen... excuse me present tense... My business is growing tremendously, I no longer struggle, I am financially secure.  I am a money magnet.  Money comes to me easily.

So what am I grateful for today:
1) I filed my first motion to strip a lien so my client wont have to pay the full debt amount on his already underwater mortgage.
2) I am grateful for my career because it allows me to help people.
3) I am grateful for my legal and real estate licenses because they allow me to work legally.
4) I am grateful for my husband who works as my receptionist because he can screen my calls so I can prioritize my tasks.
5) I totally skipped 5 & 6 on my notebook.... so lets freestyle.  I am grateful for a nice office where my clients dont feel like they are in the hood, and they have room to bring their support system along with them (which is a plus in los angeles)
6) I am grateful for the types of law I practice, because its not a "win or lose" type of law which is good, because I dont like to lose.
7) I am thankful for my "party girl" because she runs my 2nd office and helps me with all my hispanic clients.  Also, because she is the one that introduced me to Kangen Water which is a cancer fighting machine! (my distributor ID # is 7290043)
8) I am thankful for my office space because it allows me to have a place to meet with my clients in a professional manner and get work done.
9) I am thankful for my past, current & future clients, because they are part of my livelihood.
10) I am grateful for printers, computer, phones, copiers and the internet, because they are a time/life saver.

So what are you grateful for with regards to your job?  Let me know what you think.

xoxoxoxo,

Tatiana

The Magic - by Rhonda Byrne

The Magic - By Rhonda Byrne

Two days ago my girlfriend suggested that I read The Magic - By Rhonda Byrne and she even offered me to use her Amazon Prime account so that i could receive it immediately because she was starting to see great things in her life -- and she isnt even finished with the book yet.  Since we are both practicing the Law of Attraction I decided why not order it.  I actually liked Rhonda Byrne's audiobook of The Power so it was natural for me to be curious about The Magic.

So it came in the mail today and it had a few introductory chapters and then explains that the remainder of the book should be read over 28 days.  So I read day one and the day one assignment was to write down 10 things that you currently have that you are grateful for and the reason why you are grateful for it. So, in an effort to have some accountability, I wanted to share my day 1 assignment with you all.

Day 1 - May 1, 2014

Today I am grateful for:

1) My life - because without life - I would not be here.
2) I am grateful that my friend suggested I purchase this book - The Magic  - because it will allow me to have a deeper connection to GOD by teaching me how to show my gratitude.
3) I am blessed to have a wonderful husband who is always concerned about my safety and comfort.  I am blessed by this because I feel loved.
4) My vision - both physical and non-physical.  I am grateful for physical vision because I have experienced poor vision in the past and I love being able to see the things that GOD created.   I am thankful for non-physical vision because it is GOD leading me down the correct path.
5) I am thankful for being a licensed attorney because it allows me to help people and make money as well.
6) I am thankful for my business because I love being self-employed and helping people.
7) I am thankful for being able to get my car washed today and the oil changed because now my car runs better and looks great.
8) I am thankful that my mom is cancer free because I love my mom and need her in my life.
9) I am thankful that my dad is easy to talk to because I feel like I can talk to him without judgment.
10) I am thankful that my dog ginger is alive because she is a great companion and shows agape non-conditional love. (exactly when I was writing this, she decided to let a fart out, lol - but I still love her)

After you are done writing the things that you are grateful for, you are supposed to read them again and say "thank you, thank you, thank you" and really feel it and mean it.  So this books is going to help me have a better ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE :)

Do you practice the 11 universal laws of attraction?  Do you believe in the law of attraction?  Have you read The Magic or The Power?  Share your comments below, i'd love to hear from you.

p.s. I'm also thankful for my blog readers!

xoxoxo,

Tatiana
